Advertisers to unveil new think-tank.

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria said that it will launch a think tank to help in the growth of marketing in Nigeria before the conclusion of the first quarter of the year.

The Nigerian Marketing Development Team, according to a statement from the ADVAN, will be a group of top marketing professionals from various local and international organizations. They will oversee the growth and value of marketing in Nigeria through the execution of pertinent research, case studies, and the provision of top-quality marketing and business insights.

Speaking about the group’s goal, Osamede Uwubanmwen, the president of ADVAN, said that as senior marketing professionals, the organization has a responsibility to steer the narrative for marketing in Nigeria.

“For the profession, we must help provide relevant, current marketing insights, case studies, etc. that help educate aspiring professionals,” he said.

“We need to give lessons on how marketing should be done effectively for the practice. We’ll do this by offering Nigerian marketers insights into international marketing best practices.

When discussing the team’s organizational structure, Osamede said that a website will be created to display all of the work being done.

For the marketing sector and the country at large, the platform will publish contributions, position papers, research, articles, etc., he said.

The statement claims that the ADVAN team has already received invitations from certain colleges and universities to help them create solid curriculum for their business departments.
