As the once-most-wanted star is now a free agent, Arsenal and Manchester United have the bargain striker option.

This summer, Arsenal and Manchester United might compete to sign free agent Italian striker Andrea Belotti. After departing Serie A club Torino when his contract ran out, the 28-year-old is now a free agent.

Belotti hit the headlines last spring when he was tipped to make a big-money move to the Premier League. The Gunners and the Red Devils were among the clubs who were linked with the ace, while the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea, Everton and West Ham were also rumoured to be interested in him.

He did, however, remain with Torino for one more season, scoring eight goals in 23 games despite a number of injury issues.

To maintain the ace, Torino reportedly made repeated attempts to sign him to a new contract. But he chose to end his career at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and look for a new team instead.
