APC chair, AGF, angry govs meet, but don’t say anything.

“Dr. Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, met with the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and the three angry governors who have sued the federal government over the redesign of the naira on Monday.

The party secretariat was the location of the conference.
Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, and Bello Matawalle are the governors (Zamfara).

The closed-door discussion followed the APC leadership’s request that the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the naira redesign policy be honored.

The three governors sued the federal government, requesting a halt to the full implementation of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s currency redesign program.
The meeting, which began at about 1.35pm, continued for more than an hour before the participants left.

No matter how hard we tried, they refused to talk to the media or even hint at what was said at the meeting.

“They won’t provide any information. They are to disregard you guys, the national chairman has warned them, a source at the secretariat informed our reporter. “
