Candidates for US President in the 2024 Elections
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is one of many who have declared their candidacy for the 2024 US presidential elections. The verified contenders are listed below.
1. Donald Trump
Donald Trump, a Republican congressman, has declared his intention to run for president. Trump has been accused of crimes, twice ousted, and usually stirs up a lot of debate. Particularly in the wake of the unrest in the US capital, he has demonstrated the capacity to influence the crowd. Trump has continued to be involved in politics even after losing the 2016 US presidential election, actively supporting far-right candidates throughout the 2022 congressional election session. On November 15, 2022, the former US president officially announced his nomination for the 2024 election.
Notably, on March 30, when a Manhattan grand jury arrested Trump, he made history by becoming the first current or past president to be charged with a crime. His secret money payout to porn actress Stormy Daniels, with whom he is generally thought to have had an affair years ago, is the main subject of the case. These accusations would not significantly impact his 2024 candidacy, though.
2. Nikki Haley.
Nikki Haley made a suggestion that she might compete for president in 2024 on June 30 by stating, “If there’s a place for me.” Under President Trump, she served as both the US envoy to the UN and the previous governor of South Carolina. “I’ve never lost a race,” Nikki Haley declared. I won’t begin right away. I’ll give it my all and see it through. She formally declared her campaign with a video and contribution link on social media later in February.
ia. Haley has referred to Trump as a “friend” and has been a steadfast backer of his since he won the Republican Party primary in 2016. She had given conflicting statements about her support for Trump during the Capitol rage episode, at once attacking his detractors and describing his actions as a disappointment. Later in 2021, she stated that even though she had “clearly moved past that,” she would still back Trump if he ran for president again.
3. Vivek Ramaswamy.
Conservative businessman Vivek Ramaswamy announced his candidacy for president in late February 2023 and has demonstrated a readiness to challenge Trump in the Republican primary. The well-known industrialist and founder of the corporate anti-woke movement has been campaigning on “a platform of unity and one that’s deceivingly divisive.”
When Ramaswamy declared his candidacy, he said in a statement, “We’ve celebrated our ‘diversity’ so much that we forgot all the ways we’re really the same as Americans, bound by ideals that united a divided, headstrong group of people 250 years ago.” And he added, “I know in my bones that those principles still exist. I’m vying for the presidency to bring them back. He has also founded businesses in the digital and healthcare industries. In addition, Ramaswamy is the best-selling author of Nation of Victims and Woke, Inc. (2021). (2022).
4. Marianne Williamson.
The first prominent Democratic contender in the 2024 election was Marianne Williamson, who announced her campaign in March 2023. 14 works have been published by the self-help author, who also stood for president in 2020. She had a hard time gaining momentum with primary voters at the time and instead made news for her odd campaign statements. The bizarre statements, such as how her first official act as president would be to inform then-New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, “Girlfriend, you are so on,” and how the only way to beat Trump was by focusing on “love.” Her policy program is in line with that of the Democratic establishment and includes ideas for tougher gun control legislation, measures to fight climate change, and plans for national healthcare.
5. Asa Hutchinson.
After serving his second and final term as governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson recently declared his intention to run for president of the United States. He acknowledged this on April 2 in an interview with This Week, suggesting that it might be a significant strategic leap. After spending six months traveling the nation, Hutchinson stated, “I’ve heard people talk about the leadership of our country, and I’m convinced that people want leaders who appeal to the best of America, not just our worst instincts.”
CODEO demands the removal of two members of the Electoral Commission’s board due to their party ties.
He continued: “And that motivates me when I see ordinary Americans just saying, Give us decent leadership, Give us common sense, Give us unwavering conservatives and confidence about our wonderful nation. I think I can provide the citizens of America with that kind of leadership. Additionally, he has cut ties with Donald Trump. He has declared that Trump is “morally” accountable for the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
