CBN Appoints New Spokesperson

Dr. Isa Abdulmumin has been named the interim director of the central bank’s corporate communications department, according to a statement from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Osita Nwanisobi, who has led corporate communications for the apex bank since 2021, leaves from the organization, and is replaced by Abdulmumin, a former deputy director.

After serving in that role when his predecessor, Isaac Okorafor, departed from the CBN in October 2020, the CBN had accepted Nwanisobi’s nomination as the director of its corporate communications department in September 2021.

From 2009 and 2011, Nwanisobi worked as a special assistant to the deputy governor for financial system stability (FSS), and from 2001 to 2009, he was a special assistant to the deputy governor for corporate services.
