Chelsea loses to Charlotte in the EPL, and Tuchel evaluates Sterling’s performance

The second preseason match between Chelsea and Charlotte ended in a loss, and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has commented on Raheem Sterling’s performance.

In the second match of their US tour, Thomas Tuchel’s team was defeated, losing 5-3 on penalties.

Conor Gallagher missed a crucial penalty attempt, handing the west London team a loss.

The Blues’ 90-minute scoring run was started by Christian Pulisic, and Daniel Rios’ penalty in overtime tied the score at one.

Tuchel was happy with Sterling’s efforts, who displayed some of his explosive pace.

“In the second half, I counted four accelerations, and Raheem was responsible for each one.

“This is what he gives, so there is no reason for significant uncertainty or harsh criticism, but it never matters what the manager thinks before the preseason; what matters is reality. Matches like this one matter every day in practice, and we move forward from there, he told reporters after the game.
