Community Shield: Man City coach Guardiola singles out Liverpool star: “He’s a huge threat.”

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has singled out Mohamed Salah of Liverpool as an outstanding threat ahead of both clubs’ FA Community Shield match on Saturday.

In this year’s Community Shield at the King Power Stadium, Man City will play Liverpool.

Salah signed a new contract at Anfield and continued to be one of the Premier League’s most dangerous players despite Liverpool losing Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich this summer.

And Guardiola is now claiming that he is not breaking any news by recognising the exceptionality of the Egyptian captain.

At his pre-match press conference prior to tomorrow’s encounter, Guardiola stated, “I’m not saying anything new because we know it.”

“He [Salah] is extraordinary, a terrifying threat. We’ll make an effort to prevail,” he continued.

Although Guardiola has some new threats of his own this summer, Salah has 118 league goals in 180 games for Liverpool.

Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez were among the players Guardiola acquired.

The Community Shield will begin at 5 p.m. Nigerian time.
