Man City and Cucurella have been connected throughout the current summer transfer window.
The Premier League winners must make an offer that satisfies their estimate of the player for Brighton to return to the bargaining table in an effort to sell Cucurella, according to The Athletic.
The Citizens have been instructed to pay at least £50 million in order to sign Cucurella.
But Man City’s most recent offer for the defender was only £30 million.
After losing Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal this summer, Man City manager Pep Guardiola is eager to bring in a new defender before the transfer window ends.
