EPL: Arsenal star asks Arteta to let him stay at Emirates because “I’ve changed”

Nicolas Pepe, an Arsenal winger, has pleaded with manager Mikel Arteta to give him more chances at the team.

The Ivorian wants to continue competing for a spot at Arsenal this season by remaining at the Emirates.

Pepe moved to Arsenal in 2019 for a club-record £72 million transfer fee from Lille, but he has fallen short of the club’s and supporters’ expectations.

In just five league games last year, he made his debut, recording one goal and one assist.

He has reportedly been judged surplus to needs in England, and Arsenal is open to offers.

According to reports, Pepe’s transfer to Arsenal would intrigue Leeds United, Marseille, Lyon, and Sevilla.

Additionally, Arsenal has set an asking price of about £25 million for the midfielder, who still has two years left on his Emirates contract.

He has played in each of Arsenal’s three preseason matches against Everton, Orlando City, and Chelsea.

The 27-year-old has informed his management that he is prepared to compete for a spot in the first squad as the Gunners prepare to return to the United Kingdom.

I put in a lot of effort over the summer. a lot of things were altered.

Pepe posted on Instagram, saying, “I’m determined and focused alongside Arsenal and my teammates.
