EPL: Erik ten Hag is subject to one requirement in order for Cristiano Ronaldo to remain at Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has received a condition from former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson that he needs take into account before keeping Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

The Dutch manager, according to him, should only keep Ronaldo at Old Trafford if he has made plans for the kinds of players who can play pressing football and provide passes for him [Ronaldo] to score goals.

Given that Manchester United won’t play in the Champions League next year, Ronaldo allegedly requested permission to leave the club this summer.

The captain and member of the Portugal national team has been linked to Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus player, who was unable to go with the team on its preseason tour of Asia and Australia due to “family concerns,” has been working out alone.

“With Cristiano Ronaldo, his goals are the first thing you notice. The question is whether the manager believes that while he won’t press, the team has enough players who will. Paddy Power was told by Lawrenson.

And if you do, keep him because, without a question, he succeeds when given the opportunity.

It dramatically alters the dynamic when Ten Hag’s own guys are present in the changing area.

“There were cracks in the locker room last season; it was obvious to all.”

Lawrenson pointed out that the 37-year-old football legend simply enjoys scoring goals and is likely to score more this season given Ten Hag’s relaxed locker room.
