EPL: Two Man Utd players surprised Ten Hag during preseason

Since taking over as manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag has reportedly been impressed by Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal, according to the UK Mirror.

Both Savage and Iqbal have earned spots on United’s preseason tour of Australia and the Far East.

After capturing Ten Hag’s attention after the first week of training, they were included in the 28-man team that left the UK on Friday.

Last season, Savage and Iqbal made their Champions League group stage debuts against Young Boys as late replacements.

Ten Hag assured the participants that selection would be based on ability rather than notoriety. And Savage and Iqbal, a fellow midfielder, are the first to win his trust.

Amad traveled after returning from a loan stint at Rangers, and Alejandro Garnacho, who made his debut last season, will also participate in preseason activities.
