Negotiator: The remaining 27 victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train assault are disabled

Publisher of the Desert Herald and the negotiator for the rescue of those caught up in the Abuja-Kaduna train incident, Tukur Mamu, has expressed concern about the surviving victims’ declining health.

In March 2022, after many others were slain and injured, over 60 rail passengers were kidnapped.

According to Miniechat, their abductors requested, among other things, the release of their family members and coworkers who were being held in different detention facilities around the nation.

Even though the federal government claimed last week that it had complied with all of the terrorists’ requests, the terrorists have continued to target their victims.

Some of the captives who were released in groups apparently paid a ransom before being freed.

However, the negotiator, Mamu, said in a statement that the most of the victims were now unwell because of the rainy season.

He said that even though he had stopped participating in the negotiations to release the victims, he was still being pressured by their relatives.

He pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to step up efforts to secure their release right now since the situation was still very unstable.
