Super Falcons will be ready for Cameroon at WAFCON 2022, according to Waldrum

At the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum claims his team will be fully ready for their quarterfinal matchup against Cameroon.

After crushing the Swallows of Burundi 4-0 in their final Group C match, the defending champions advanced directly to the quarterfinals on Sunday night.

With six points, the West Africans came in second place, three points behind group champions South Africa.

On Thursday night at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca, the Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses will compete for a spot in the semifinals.

Waldrum said he is excited for the encounter and anticipates a challenging challenge against the Cameroonians.

“We are aware of Nigeria and Cameroon’s shared past. After the victory over Burundi, the American strategist told a press conference, “It will be a tough game, but we are looking forward to the game.

“The pitch will be fantastic, and the players are also looking forward to the game,” the player said. “Changing the venue won’t be a factor.”
