Ten Hag discusses expectations and playing style in front of Man United’s matchup with Liverpool during preseason.

Before their preseason games, including their meeting against Liverpool on Tuesday, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag outlined his team’s goals.

The Red Devils left on a Friday flight for their preseason tour of Asia.

In a very hectic preseason, United will play six friendlies in Thailand, Australia, Norway, and back at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag stated that he is attempting to communicate his thoughts and playing philosophy to his team while United goes through its rebuilding process.

He informed the club’s reporters, “We want to play a proactive style of football. “I’ve been both on and off the ball. We are courageous and eager to take the initiative and give each other options. We’re all working together to achieve the pressuring style, but also off the ball.

Naturally, he continued, “I want to convey the energy to my squad.” But I have to admit, the players do admirably. They are quite concentrated. They provide the energy for themselves.

“As you can see, they like to play football. They get along a lot and have fun playing football together.

Tuesday’s match between Manchester United and Liverpool in Bangkok is followed by a Friday flight to Melbourne to face Melbourne Victory at the MCG.
