Waldrum, the Super Falcons’ manager, apologizes to Nigerian journalists for the disparaging remark

Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, has expressed regret for making a derogatory remark towards the Nigerian media.

Following Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over the Mares of Botswana at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations on Thursday night, the American strategist attacked the Nigerian media.

The Super Falcons were heavily criticized for their terrible performance against Banyana Banyana of South Africa in their opening match of the competition, which they lost 2-1.

After receiving a warning from the Nigeria Football Federation, Waldrum withdrew a comment he had made about how “negative” the Nigerian media was.

“The comments are regretful, and I completely retract them. Actually, I’ll admit that the statement did not sound how I had intended it to, he admitted to thenff.com.

I have tremendous esteem for the media worldwide, particularly in Nigeria, but I do wish they would show a bit more compassion for us when we lose or tie games.

On Sunday, the Super Falcons’ final Group C match will be against Burundi.
