Man allegedly defiles co-worker’s three-year-old daughter.

Ekene Agha, 42, was sent to Kirikiri Correctional Center on Monday after a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court found him guilty of allegedly defiling a three-year-old child.

Agha was charged with two charges of defilement and indecent assault by the police.
The defendant’s plea was rejected by Chief Magistrate Mr. Peter Nwaka.

Nwaka ordered that Agha be held in custody until March 15 pending the Director of Public Prosecutions’ recommendation.

The offense was perpetrated on January 6, 2023, approximately 3.30 p.m. at No. 40 Ago Palace Road, Okota, Lagos State, according to the prosecution, Inspector Thomas Nurudeen.

According to him, Sections 261 and 135 of the Lagos State 2015 Criminal Laws provide for punishment for the offenses.

The charge stated, in part, “That you, Ekene Agha, did indecently treat one (name withheld) a child of three years by inserting your finger into her on January 6, 2023, around 3.30 pm at No. 40 Ago Palace Road, Okota, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 135 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.”

It was discovered that the mother of the victim and the suspect work together.
