The Yankees announce Brian Cashman’s multi-year deal as general manager.

The New York Yankees signed a four-year agreement for general manager Brian Cashman, keeping him in that position until the 2026 season.

The Yankees believed Cashman deserved to preserve the distinction of being the MLB general manager with the longest tenure going into the 2023 season and beyond. After the Yankees’ failure to reach the World Series due to an ALCS defeat to the Houston Astros this past season, he also held the record for the longest stay as the team’s general manager.
