Speaking on Friday, January 6, Butland remarked;

“This is a fantastic club, and I am now honored to represent it. Working with an incredible goalkeeping squad that encourages one another daily to produce the greatest possible training and playing environment for the club is something I’m truly looking forward to.

I’ve faced off against David de Gea and competed for England with Tom Heaton; they are both elite goalkeepers, and I am excited for the chance to do so.

This squad can accomplish a lot this season, and I’m eager to do my part to assist everyone realize their goals.

Director of football for Manchester United John Murtough said that Jack is a superb goalkeeper with much experience. His mindset and demeanor will be a huge boost to our outstanding goalkeepers as well as the whole team.

The goalkeeper may make his debut against Everton in the FA Cup on Friday or against Charlton in the Carabao Cup the following week.
