LaLiga: Guardiola’s departure from Barcelona has two “major culprits,” according to reports
Manager Pep Guardiola left Barcelona, and the two “primary culprits” have been identified.
El Nacional claims that Guardiola’s exit from Barcelona in 2012 was primarily caused by Pique and Lionel Messi, who is currently a player for Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the article, Messi and Pique even gave the idea of leaving Barcelona a second thought if the Spaniard were to stay on as manager.
After working with team B for a year, Guardiola was elevated to lead Barcelona’s first team in 2008.
At Camp Nou, Guardiola built probably the best Barcelona team ever between 2008 and 2012.
By the time Guardiola left Barcelona in 2012, the club had won two Champions League titles and three La Liga championships.
It has long been known that exhaustion was the cause of Guardiola’s departure.
The Spaniard took a year off from managing football teams before joining Bayern Munich.
He is now in charge of Manchester City, the Premier League champions.
Guardiola departed Barcelona, although Sandro Rosell, the club’s president at the time, insisted that his departure was due to issues in the locker room.
Guardiola and the players, both active and passive, have claimed that there was an altercation between them. The dressing room has a problem, Rosell remarked.
