Trump’s Twitter account is restored by Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, restored the former president Trump’s Twitter account on Saturday night, not long after Musk made the announcement that he would do so.

The action lifted a restriction that had been in place since almost two years earlier, after the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Musk made the choice in response to a Friday Twitter poll in which a slim majority favored reactivating the former president’s account.

“The people have had their say. Trump will get his job back. Vox Populi, Vox Dei is a Latin phrase that means “The voice of the people is the voice of God,” as Musk said in a tweet.

Whether the former president will use social media again is a matter of speculation. Trump founded his own website, Truth Social, after Twitter barred him.

Trump first said he would remain on Truth Social, despite the fact that he supported Musk’s purchase of Twitter three weeks ago.

The former president said, “I am sticking on Truth.” “I like it more. I like how it works. Although I like Elon, I’m sticking with Truth.

The lifting of the prohibition is only the most recent development in Musk’s turbulent takeover of Twitter, which he paid $44 billion for in late October.

Following the billionaire’s demand to adopt a “hardcore” work climate, hundreds of colleagues left on Thursday. Internal estimates revealed at least 1,200 staff had quit, the New York Times reported on Friday. After firing over half of the 7,500-person staff in his first week, Musk did that.

Additionally, Musk recently issued a warning that the business was in “dire” financial straits and may even go bankrupt.

He made an effort to alter Twitter’s verification procedure and convert it into a paid membership service. However, when some people impersonated well-known corporations and prominent personalities, it was immediately turned back.
