57-yr-old Businessman Assassinated In Oyo

Oladeji Babalola, a 57-year-old businessman, was slain in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, by suspected hired assassins.

The assassination of the victim, also known as Chicago, took place at the Agbriko neighborhood on Jemibewon Road in the State’s Ibadan North-West local government area.

In the Adamasingba Sports Complex in Ibadan, he was said to be selling athletic apparel.

According to reports, Babalola was at the store when an unknown caller contacted to arrange a commercial transaction; he then departed.

When the call for a business came through, he changed into sleepers. He therefore instantly departed, but unfortunately for him, two men were riding bikes after him (motorcycle).

“They shot him to death while riding near by. The informant said that they shot him in the head and another area of the body.

Adewale Osifeso, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who verified the occurrence, stated that the police had started an inquiry.

The occurrence has been verified. An inquiry has started to clarify the incident’s circumstances. Please let me know when there are any updates.
